Abstract :
The development of multi-sensor image fusion benefits from the improved methods of multi-resolution decomposition and fusion rules. When we choose fusion rules, we should take different characteristics of low and high frequency sub-bands into account. In the experiments, DT-CWT (Dual Tree-complex wavelet transform) was employed to decompose source images. Fused images were produced according to different fusion rules. We evaluate the performance of fused images by Entropy, Spatial Frequency and Standard Deviation. Finally, we summarize the characteristics of proper fusion rules in low and high frequency sub-bands and point out the trend of fusion rules´ development.
