Abstract :
This paper addresses the problem of the H filtering for networked control systems with quantized signals. The main contribution of the paper is to provide a linear matrix inequality approach for designing an asymptotically stable linear time-invariant H filter for networked control systems where measurement quantization, signal transmission delay, and data packet dropout are considered. A novel delay-dependent piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is proposed, in which a fast interval of time-varying delay is considered. Based on this Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, a less conservative stability criteria for the existence of an H filter is derived by introducing slack matrix variables. A numerical example is included to the applicability of the present method.
