Abstract
A technique is described for the design of an own-ship Doppler nullification scheme for linear period modulated (LPM) waveforms which reduces the equivalent noise bandwidth in an adaptive manner and thus improves the performance in white noise without degrading the performance in reverberation. An approach to the digital implementation of this technique using overlap-save digital filtering is outlined. The performance gains obtained using this technique and a general LPM waveform design procedure are presented.<>
