Abstract
As one of the World Cultural Heritages, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System (DIS) has a history of 2,260 years. In 256 B.C, Li Bing, a governor of the Shu Prefecture (present Sichuan) of the Qin State, organized people in Sichuan to build the project based on the local geographic condition. The hydraulic headwork was composed of three interconnected projects as Yuzui, Feishayan, and Baopingkou, which jointly discharged the functions of water intake, flood control, and sand drainage. The irrigation system has contributed greatly to the richness of the Chengdu plain and helps it earn the reputation as the Land of Abundance. The DIS marks the beginning of scientific water control in human history and is called the Living Museum of Water Conservancy. This Paper Introduces a management Information System based on The Hydraulic Vestigial Data of DIS.
