Abstract
Metallic grating embedded in a waveguide thermal emitter was studied. The grating acts as a beam splitter to divide the structure into two waveguide structures with orthogonal polarization. The emission wavelength difference can be easily controlled by the SiO2 thickness under the grating. The full width at half maximums of the peaks are 0.24 and 0.25 for the TE- and TM-polarized waveguide modes, respectively.
