Abstract
Extraordinary transmission through metallic film perforated by periodic holes array is often induced by surface plasmon. However, the non-centrosymmetric trumpet shaped holes enhance localized resonance inside the trumpet cavity. The measured results of the transmission and reflection spectra of Ag/Si and Ag/SiO2/Ag structures, respectively, reveal that spectral peaks shift according to the size of the trumpet cavity but not the period of the array indicating the localized nature of the resonant modes. The interaction between Wood´s anomaly and LSRs were described directly. Moreover, the reflection spectra reveals double (1,0)Ag/SiO2 LSRs inside.
