Abstract :
TV camera system has been widely used in electronic industry, but a crucial problem is the image stability. The reason of the unstable image is that the moving of camera system carrier. The technology of image stabilization has been developed form mechanical image stabilization to optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. The electronic image stabilization is currently a hot research. In this paper, we proposed an electronic image stabilization method using block matching and Empirical Mode Decomposition. Image Stabilization is comprised of motion estimation and compensation between image frames. We used the block matching to estimate the motion parameters and smoothed the parameters using empirical mode decomposition. Then we executed the reconstruction of image frames. Finally, we got the stabilized image frames. The experiments show the accuracy and smoothing reliability of our algorithm.
