Abstract
The design and construction of a neutral point clamped inverter along with its modulation strategy and circuit simulation using PSPICE 6.2 for Windows is presented. This inverter is a subscale (100 kW) prototype for an inverter that is intended to be used in a 1 MW level universal power converter system to produce three-phase AC power at 60 Hz from variable input sources
