Abstract :
This paper introduces a model using Petri nets for weight round robin (WRR) packet scheduler for Ethernet switches. This model uses the IEEE 802.1Q specification to schedule seven different classes of services in order to support quality of service at link layer. The proposed model can be used in performance analysis simulations and to educational purpose.
