Abstract :
Hydro-Quebec has conducted a research program aimed at characterizing the performance of the grounding system for MV (medium voltage) lines. A method for measuring the impedance of the multigrounded neutral adapted to rural distribution lines was developed and applied during a measurement campaign covering 16 lines located throughout the province. Lastly, a computer model of the grounding system for rural MV lines is proposed.
