  • Abstract
    For wind power or photovoltaic power generation is random and intermittent, through allocating suitable capacity of energy storage unit, the reliability and continuity of the independent wind/PV/storage system can be improved. Based on the output models of each power generation unit, batteries´ capacity optimization model is established, and particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed for the optimization model. Then, the operating strategy of the batteries in the operation of the power system is proposed. This operating strategy can extend life of batteries, ensure safe operation of equipment, so that can greatly improve the reliability and economy of the system.
