Abstract
An interim research study of 26 American and 16 European high-technology firms has been completed and comparisons have been made to establish similarities and differences in venture processes, founder motivations, effectiveness factors, teamwork skills, and growth parameters. Data and information were gathered in a comprehensive questionnaire, telephone and conference interviews, and publicly available resources. The study indicated there are far more significant similarities than there are differences
