Abstract :
This paper focuses on study the geographic information service theory under the framework of digital earth, combining with geographic theory to make explanations on application model of geographic information service system, system structure, the establishment and the deployment model, introduces various geographic information services, map service and its function in ArcGIS Server, and then make detailed and thorough research on one of the network geographic information service platforms, the ArcGIS Server platform, including its system structure. This paper also discussed the map service caching mechanism a map tiles, create and pyramid model cache usage map services principle and process, in applications can pass build map cache can effectively improve the map of trading space for efficiency, and response time, and reduce networks and data server load.
