Abstract :
This paper presents a novel technique that can transfer power with two-way communication over a gap with no physical contacts. The proposed technique uses two separate loosely coupled parallel resonant circuits to transfer power from one system to another with two-way communication. Experimental results based on a 5 W prototype system built for powering a display panel on a refrigerator door are presented. The technique is simple, low in cost, and should find applications where both power transfer and data transmission are required with no physical contacts.
