  • Abstract
The interference relay channel is considered as communication theoretic model for performance analysis of cell edge users in the presence of interference. As the directed links to those users are weak, a relay station is deployed which utilizes both the forward links to the destinations and out-of-band feedback links to the sources for efficient interference management. Different interference management strategies based on amplify-and-forward, compute-and-forward, and interference neutralization are investigated and their performance compared in terms of spectral efficiency. It turns out that in the high SNR regime utilizing feedback is more beneficial than neutralization to those users while the behaviour is swapped in the low SNR regime.
