Abstract
In this paper we propose a three steps admission control Method for cognitive radio based on UWB (Ultra Wide Band) control transmission. Two algorithms have to be applied during this control Admission procedure the ACCA (Admission Control for Cognitive Association) and the ACAR (Admission control based on Available Resources). To enhance the efficiency of the Admission control Method a multi - association procedure was proposed. These algorithms are applied during the association period and completed by a ACRP (Admitted Cognitive users Rejection Procedure) applied during the beacon period to the associated cognitive users. We show by simulation the good impact of the proposed Method on enhancing the Served Cognitive Radio Users Ratio (SCUR), on the Spectrum Usage Ratio (SUR) and on decreasing the Admission Ratio (AR) when the number of not-served cognitive radio users increases. To improve the efficiency of the proposed method a Dynamic Beacon Window procedure was proposed.
