Integration of Knowledge Management and Collaborative Design

Collaborative design is an important part of the networked manufacture. The development of knowledge interaction and sharing is a main problem for collaborative design. The separation of knowledge management and the design process is a critical problem to be solved. The integration of the knowledge management and collaborative design is present in the paper. Firstly, the concepts of knowledge management are introduced, which can assist to acknowledge the basic concepts. Then the knowledge management function is constructed for collaborative design. The structure of system consists of five parts, which can realize the information confusion. The process of knowledge management can be interacted by means of the information confusion. The implicit knowledge can be expressed by explanation tool. At last, a platform for integration is constructed to transmit the information among knowledge management and collaborative design. The platform can improve enterprise customization and application capabilities of intelligent resource services and promote service technology for product development on collaborative design style.
