  • Abstract
    Recently Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) has become a major highlight of the communications industry, the application prospect of which is very broad, and Wireless Bridge (WB) is the core network equipment of WLAN; this paper firstly introduces the overall function of the Wireless Bridge, conducts a thorough analysis on the characteristics and relevant technical issues of WB, and proposes the design solution for WB in WLAN of 802.11b based on the VxWorks embedded operating system, implements two parts of hardware and software, as well as completes the main function provided in the protocol.
