Abstract
Hydraulic characteristics around two parallel circular cylinders are numerically investigated by using large eddy simulation (LES) method coupled with dynamic subgrid-scale (SGS) model at low Reynolds number. The paper analyses flow separation in the boundary layer around the cylinders, the formation process of Karman Vortex Street and the lapse and evolution of vortex in the wake. The results show that tail flows interfere in each other and vortex energy dissipates extremely fast. The range of C1 is close, but phase is opposite; the change of Cd is coincident for two circular cylinders.
