Abstract
Methods for the probabilistic calculation of power network reliability predominantly assess the occurrence of interruptions of supply at individual nodes. This approach proves to be too coarse for the planning of industrial power networks, for which specific requirements of individual production plant also have to be taken into account. The following article demonstrates a methodology with which these requirements, and the behavior of complex production processes in case of network failures, can be included in the power network reliability analysis. The results which can be achieved with these and which assess the reliability with reference to the production outages are presented for the example of a selected case study.
