Abstract :
The distributed circuit parameters of three kinds of chamfered bent microstrip lines are extracted and analyzed. In the implementation, the distributed voltage and current on the transmission lines are calculated first by the conformal finite differential time domain method (CFDTD). Then, the distributed circuit parameters are obtained by substituting the distributed voltage and current into the generalized transmission line equation (GTLE). The distributed parameters of the chamfered bent microstrip lines are compared with those from the right angle bent microstrip line. The differences of voltage, current and circuit parameters between chamfered bent lines and right angle bent line are analyzed by electromagnetic theory.
