Abstract :
The paper introduces three approaches of calculating the torque of PM motor and describes how to calculate the torque of concentrated winding brushless PM motor by using the energy method. In concentrated winding brushless PM motor, because of the effect of teeth and slot there is ripple in cogging torque, and there will be pulsation torque when rotor eccentricity appears.
