Abstract :
One new measuring method for the power angle and the circuit parameter in the turbo steam generator is presented in the paper, in which the phasor of armature current and bus bar voltage, and the exciting current are measured in real-time. In the new method, the chief advantage is that any sensing unit is not installed inside the generator, so the method is easily to be realized in engineering. The accuracy of the measurement is ensured with the following two behaviors: (1) the measurement model is based on the magnetic field´s value in the generator, which is resolved with the finite element method (FEM) when the saturation effect is considered. The value of excitation electric potential is obtained from the magnetic potential function directly. (2) The synchronizing reactance and the excitation electric potential direction are determined in the space-time phasor diagram. The method is hoped to be useful in leading phase operation, state estimation, transient stability analysis, and parameter on-line identification in the generator.
