Abstract :
Biased estimators with mean square error surpassing that described by the Cramer-Rao lower bound are implemented using Bayes´ Theorem. In order to use Bayes´ Theorem a new likelihood function was developed specifically for the ultrasound time-delay estimation problem. Results are shown for bulk, step, compression, and ARFI displacements.
