Abstract :
The amount of machine-oriented data on the Web is increasing rapidly as semantic Web technologies achieve greater up-take. At the same time, the deployment of grid/Web services is increasing and together they pose a service-discovery problem for users wishing to discover grid/Web services to perform tasks. We build a portal to discover visualization services and characterize the distance between users´ requirement for visualizing data and the advertised capabilities of available visualization services by means of multiple techniques, so that the user can make decision on which services to invoke.
