  • Abstract
    In this article, AES Eletropaulo will present the considerations done at uprating of overhead transmission line Sul-Bandeirantes. This line would have a considerable addition of loading and there were not concrete possibilities, under technical and economical aspects to install a new parallel line or to make a conventional uprating using larger conductors. The solution for the uprating was use thermo-resistant conductors of same size. However, in some spans the safety´s distance was broken and in this situation, the conductor thermo-resistant was used Invar steel, with low linear expansion coefficient.
