Abstract
This paper presents an investigation about the transient stability of a real distribution system with multidistributed synchronous generators. Distinct scenarios and technical factors that can affect the stability performance of the system are analyzed. The factors investigated are system loading, generator inertia constant and short-circuit level. A complete discussion on the maximum allowable penetration level of distributed synchronous generators considering transient stability issues is presented.
