Abstract :
We study the transmission and conductance in poly{G}(T)Npoly{G} strand, where G refers to Guanine and T refers to Thymine. We show that T plays a role as a barrier and the transmission decreases exponentially with the increasing number of Ts. We also investigate the transmission and conductance through superlattices poly{GGTT} and poly{GT}. Minibands are observed in these structures. The effect of coupling between DNA molecule and metal contacts is also explored.
