Abstract
Model reuse is one of long challenges and a hot research topic in Modeling and Simulation community. Disadvantages of current development methodology for model reuse were analyzed. A two phases development methodology based-on conceptual model ontology and simulation software ontology was proposed. Domain knowledge and the knowledge of simulation software specification were represented formally with ontology and could be processed automatically by machine. The codes of model were generated with the mapping from domain ontology to simulation software ontology. The factors affecting model reuse were partitioned in each phase respective. The methodology was applied to a countermeasure simulation system and the result revealed that the reusability of domain conceptual model and simulation model could be improved by this methodology.
