Abstract
Software Choice is a problem that must be faced by every professor teaching undergraduate econometrics. This paper discusses the main factors that affect the choice of software and describes the features of some popular econometrics software, especially their merits and weakness in meeting undergraduate course needs. The paper also shows how the two authors deal with the problem in practice.
