  • Abstract
According to the use conditions of short circuit ground wire for the high voltage transmission lines, the functions of wire clamper are determined. On the basis, a clamping mechanism for wire-end clamper, which can obtain triple force amplication through a gear pair, a screw drive and a lever, is designed. The mechanism not only can be clamped and loosened by a built-in motor, but also can be loosened and reset by dragging a insulated rope connected to it when the clamper is clamping transmission wire. Then through the analysis of the force, the formula about the output torque of built-in motor is worked out, and the motor torque value is also calculated. The designed clamper has the advantages of small size, light weight, reliable connection and portability, and meets the requirements of engineering application.
