Abstract
This work proposes a static DC/AC system for grid-connected PV systems. The converter is made of an inverter, a high frequency transformer and a cycloconverter. Both converters operate with constant switching frequency and duty-cycle. The design, principle of operation, control circuits and the characteristics of the system is presented. In addition to the theoretical analysis, simulation results are shown to validate the principle of operation of the converter as part of a grid-connected system.
