Abstract
In this paper we have shown the design of a 0.5 V multi-phase digital controlled oscillator (DCO) in 65-nm CMOS. The DCO generates 32 phases and achieved output frequency range from 0.1MHz to 128MHz with maximum power consumption of 0.28μW/MHz in Cadence spectre circuit simulations. To prevent glitch during phase switching, the circuit for smooth phase transition is proposed and successfully demonstrated in circuit simulation.
