Abstract
In this paper, we explore comprehensively the hardware curriculum, curriculum content and teaching methods for the Computer Science students. In accordance with the need of Computer Science students, we analyze the objectives, meanings, systematic and coherence of curriculums, investigate how to properly selection of teaching content and supplemental materials for the courses, and discuss the relationships between the hardware curriculums with other curriculums, such as the relationship between CPU development and operating system development. Based on multi-years of teaching experience, we point out the issues and difficulties that need to be paid special attention and the content to be covered in each course. In addition, we introduce the common methods of class room teaching and experimental teaching, with the emphasis on cultivating the problem-analysis and the problem-solving abilities of the students. Finally, we present some efficient methods for classroom teaching and laboratory teaching based on the analysis of the connection between the theoretical and Laboratory courses.
