Abstract
This paper presents a new control system for grid synchronisation of a doubly fed induction generator used in variable speed wind turbines. A direct torque control (DTC) scheme is used for synchronisation and running processes. The proposed control system allows high performance, i.e., grid connection with zero currents and high dynamic behaviour when loading the doubly fed induction generator.
