Abstract
The demand for Web based examination and marking is increasing rapidly. In addition a Web site for an examination is frequently implemented, because examinations are repeatedly performed. Moreover in a Web based examination it is common to build several displaying Web sites for marking results with different formats, but same content. In this case, each Web site is described separately. In order to implement a Web site for an examination, Web site information has to be described with HTML or a conventional home page (HP) builder. Using HTML or a HP builder, some IT expertise is required. So the task of building a Web site is usually assigned to IT professionals. As a result, it takes time and money. This paper presents a synthesis system for Web based examination generation and marking by XML.
