  • Abstract
The molecular rectifiers that can be tuned by ultra-violet were constructed by molecule self-assemble based on the capillary tunnel junctions. Opto-sensitive functional molecules such as 4-(4-nitrophenylazo)orcinol, l-methyl-4-[4-(4- aminonaphthylazo) phenylazo]- pyridininum iodide were used to construct the tunnel junctions. While irradiated by the ultra-violet in certain wavelength, the current transfer were found and the magnify constant reached up to 4, the determined maximum work voltage is 1.0 V, the limited voltage is 1.5 V.
