Abstract :
Modelling people is a topic of considerable interest to researchers in both the computer vision and graphics communities. This workshop presents current results on modelling human shape, appearance, movement, behaviour, expressions and gestures. The aim of this workshop is to bring together active researchers to assess the current state-of-the-art and generate ideas for future progress towards automatic vision based modelling and interpretation of people. This vision based technology is important for a wide range of applications including virtual reality, clothing, human-computer-interfaces, games and computer generated imagery for film and broadcast production. The workshops goal is to identify future research issues in modelling people which will enable transfer of this technology to mass user applications
