Abstract :
A method which combines a fuzzy neural network (FNN) with improved Smith´s Predictor to control nonlinear long-time delayed variables is presented in the paper. As an example, the method has been used in the control of a thermal boiler system. The simulation results which adopt the actual data are satisfactory
