Abstract :
The online expert system presented, tunes a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller for steel mill soaking pit control. The expert system examines features of each transient response and the corresponding controller parameters. The system consists of an analytical problem solution, a database, a controller parameter base, and a signal base. The experimental study results demonstrate that the strategy is effective for the improvement of dynamic performance of the controller
