Abstract
In this paper, a method of stagger tuned resonant frequency shift is proposed for improving the bandwidth of planar switched parasitic array antenna. By setting the active and parasitic elements of different sizes, and adjusting the feeding location on active element and loading positions on parasitic elements respectively, the bandwidth of this antenna is improved. The simulated results show that the relative bandwidth is 6.5 % (S11 <;-10dB), about four times over that of the design without the method, and good radiation characteristics over the operation bandwidth is obtained.
