Abstract :
Dispersion is one of the very important factors in the optical fibers that distort every limited bandwidth signals and cause problems for detecting the signal in the receiver. Therefore, prediction of dispersion value is inevitable. In this paper, the dispersion for an ideal optical fiber is simulated and calculated, and then the total dispersion and waveguide dispersion and their relationship with power confinement are studied.
