Abstract :
The frame synchronization and timing recovery algorithms for the multi-carrier (MC) code-division multiple access (CDMA) system are proposed. For the frame synchronization, a simple subtraction method operating under carrier offset is considered. The subtraction method operates well if the signal to noise ratio (SNR) is greater than 5 dB. The proposed timing recovery algorithm utilizes the phase offset between the received and the transmitted reference pilot signals. It operates correctly even under a carrier frequency offset of up to ±0.3 Hz, where we considered the carrier frequency distance between two consecutive sub-carriers is 1 Hz, with an SNR of 5 dB
