  • Abstract
According to the theory of reliability vector and degradation in strength of structures with intermediate state, an assessment of seismic reliability was conducted for existing masonry structure, which assumed engineering structures has three-stage work modes of safety, intermediate and failure. The intermediate state means the state when the structure works with trouble. Use masonry shear as calculation index, model of three levels of time-varying reliability vector was put forward respectively to calculation the reliability vector of walls, stories and structures system of existing masonry structures. The proposed approach can effectively predict the reliability of existing masonry structures, which can provide theoretical basis for assessment of seismic performance and offer decisive data for prevention or mitigation of potential disaster of urban.
