  • Abstract
Due to the particular bed composition of mountainous river, experiment was carried out combining the two dimensional mathematical model and the local physical model. Boundary conditions of the local physical model were provided by the results of mathematical mode. The river-bed scouring around and bilateral cofferdam of jiangjin-guanyinyan bridge´s 10# pie were studied. Results show that the maximum scour depth gradually move upward to the current-rushing point with the increasing of the inflow. Comparing the local scour of theoretical value with the experiment result, it is feasible that the general scouring could be neglected when calculating the pier scouring of mountainous stream.
