Abstract :
In the coherent CDMA systems with adaptive antenna arrays, the architecture of chip-level two-dimensional (2-D) RAKE receiver with the capability of symbol-level searcher beamforming is proposed in this paper. Compared with the simple chip-level beamformer, the complexity of the proposed architecture, i.e., hybrid beamforming, is increased only 1.65 times with the improved performance of complex symbol-level beamformer
