  • Abstract
    The statistical model of light scattering by the rough surface of planar dielectric waveguide is developed, which is free from weakly guiding approximation. The dependence of loss on the refractive index difference, thickness of the waveguide core and correlation characteristics of the scattering surface is investigated.
