Determination of network performance by the analysis of burst error activity

Network operators and manufacturers are continually striving to improve the quality of service provided by networks. Mobile networks also have the additional problems of time and connection variant performance. In order to establish and improve the quality of service being offered to customers a mechanism is required to reliably and accurately determine the performance of the network.
