Abstract :
An RMR (Remote Meter Reading) system is proposed to remote reading electricity meter which contains an output port is proposed here. The system has no effect on the smart meter, because it just read the index power consumption through an output port as well as RS-485 wired link and transmits it via Bluetooth to mobile phone or to Electricity Company server. This cheap and costly effective system is carried out with microcontroller (16F876A) and an appropriate algorithm to control the whole process.
