Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. A very compact voltage transformer is needed to provide a 100 kV output in a very small region. Meeting the small volume requirements requires very high magnetic flux densities and very high electric field stresses. To meet the design requirements thermal management and reliability must be compromised. The design of the transformer is presented with consideration of all design factors including: magnetic material, dielectric insulation materials, geometry, volume, thermal management, reliability, and manufacturability. The peak magnetic flux densities and electrical field intensities are presented
